Eastern Army Commander, Lt Gen Dalbir Singh, UYSM, AVSM, VSM arrived
here to review the Op preparedness of troops deployed along the border
in Sikkim Sector and the security sit in the area. He was received by
Maj Gen D Anbu, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Black Cat
Division at Gangtok.
The Army commander called on the Chief Minister Shri Pawan Chamling at
their official residence today. Army Commander discussed wide range of
issues related to defence matters in the region. During his meeting
with Chief Minister, the aspect of requirement of Sikkimese youth in
military service was stressed upon.
During his visit to Sikkim, the Army Commander visited the troops
deployed in border areas. ( IPR-Sikkim)
